Just minutes ago, I completed the first draft of my new novel. It’s a crime story set in Brisbane and it’s the first time I have attempted a novel in this genre. I’m amazed at how much fun this was to write and how quickly it all came together – four months from first setting finger to keyboard! It is a personal best by a very large margin.
I don’t have a blurb to share with you because I’ve just been so full-on writing it, I haven’t even begun to consider all the peripheral stuff until this moment. It doesn’t even have a working title! (Another first.) I just wanted to share the news because, well, I’m happy.
But I shouldn’t get too excited. I haven’t shown this to anyone else yet…
